Dóchas House of Yoga is a yoga sanctuary: a place to rediscover and return to your sacred home within. Our offerings are curated to awaken and nourish every layer of our being; body, mind, and spirit. Inspired by the truth that no matter where you are, you are always home within your own body. Frequently asked questions

Dochas House of Yoga

1. What should I bring to class? Bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and a towel if desired. We have all the props such as blocks and bolsters available for use. If you forget your mat, we have extras available to use for free.

2. What should I wear? Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Layers are recommended for our yin and restorative classes.

3. How early should I arrive for class? We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before class to check in, set up your mat, and get settled.

4. Do I need to pre-register for classes? Yes, pre-registration is encouraged to secure your spot and help us maintain appropriate class sizes. Walk-ins are welcome as well!

5. What is your cancellation policy? If you need to cancel a class, please do so at least 12 hours before the start time. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a class credit deduction or a $15 fee for unlimited members.

6. Are beginners welcome? Absolutely! We have ALL been beginners, and we are honored to be a part of your yoga journey. We offer beginner-friendly options in all of our classes as well as more advanced sessions. Check out our Class Schedule for options labeled as suitable for all levels or beginners.

7. Do you offer membership options or class packages? Yes, we have flexible options including drop-in rates, class packs, and unlimited monthly memberships. Visit our Pricing page for more details.

8. Can I attend classes if I am pregnant or have an injury? Please inform your instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or if you are pregnant before class. Our instructors can offer modifications to ensure your practice is safe and comfortable.

9. Is there parking available? Yes, we have on-site parking as well as nearby street parking. Plan to arrive early if you’re visiting during peak times.

10. What are your studio amenities? Our studio has free parking, first floor entrance and bathrooms close by, and props such as mats, blocks, blankets, and bolsters. Complimentary tea and water are also available.

11. Do you offer private sessions or specialized workshops? Yes, we offer private yoga sessions and host a variety of workshops and events, including Reiki and Restorative workshops, sound healing, and wellness retreats.

12. What is the best way to stay updated on studio news and events? Join our email newsletter and follow us on social media for the latest updates, promotions, and special events.

13. What is a trauma-informed class? Our trauma-informed classes are designed to create a safe, empowering space where students have control over their practice and experience minimal hands-on adjustments.
